JOB SUMMARY:

  • Administers organization-wide Associate relations programs designed to establish and maintain effective Association relations through the uniform and equitable applications of policies and procedures. Maintains all Associate Relations systems, tools and programs. Counsels, makes recommendations and resolves issues to address job related problems or concerns. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision and Values.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Three to five years of Human Resources experience required. Previous Associate Relations experience REQUIRED.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of Associates and managers, possibly in an adversarial setting.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with co-workers, other departments and others.
  • Ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks, organize tasks, and maintain control of workflow.
  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of field to the completion of moderately difficult assignments.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment, at times from abstract data or information.
  • Must be knowledgeable regarding governmental rules and regulations affecting the employee/employer relationship and have demonstrated ability in conflict resolution. Knowledge of Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, ADAAA, OWBPA, USERRA, etc.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Understands policies and procedures.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and oversee projects. Project management experience.
