JOB SUMMARY:

  • The QA Analyst is responsible for the coordination and communication of all contracts available through the Premier Purchasing Group as well as all MLH Contracts including pricing. Provide analysis to be utilized in the determination of contract selection. Maintains contract data base system and control over all corporate rebate / incentive programs. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision and Values.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED

  • BA/BS Business or related field plus 2 years experience

OR

  • AAS Business or related field plus 4 years experience; or

OR

  • Minimum of six years directly related experience.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Skill and proficiency in applying technical principals, concepts and techniques related to bidding, negotiation and procurement functions preferably in the Healthcare Industry, commensurate with education/experience.
  • Strong proficiency in verbal and written communications and interpersonal relations. Exemplary telephone and customer service skills are required.
  • Analytical ability and knowledge to make professional judgments.
  • Skill and knowledge of a computerized materials management system as obtained with two or more years experience in a high volume procurement operation. Experience with an ERP system is a plus. Experience in healthcare procurement is preferred.
  • Product knowledge as obtained with one to two years experience with the product area is preferred.
  • Skills and knowledge to operate standard office technologies including personal computers, word processing, and spreadsheet programs.
